School Uniform
Please ensure all items of clothing (including shoes) are labelled with your child's name.
All uniform can be purchased online/in store from our uniform supplier Monkhouse. The nearest branch is in Haywards Heath. Logoed items must be purchased from Monkhouse. All other items are available from a range of suppliers, including second hand options.
Please note, if you purchase similar products from other uniform suppliers they may not conform to the uniform policy.
All pupils must wear:
- Logoed: Royal blue and logoed school jumper / cardigan
- Logoed: Royal blue and gold tie (different sizes and elasticated versions available)
- Grey school trousers / grey school skirt / grey school pinafore dress
- Plain white, collared school shirt (long or short sleeve)
- Plain grey tights / grey socks / white socks
- Plain black school shoes (no boots or trainers)
- A suitable coat on cold and wet days
- A suitable hat for hot and sunny days
- Plain navy book bag (Years Foundation, 1 and 2)
P.E. Kit:
- Logoed: Royal blue P.E. top
- Plain black P.E. shorts
- Plain navy P.E. bag
- Winter P.E. kit: plain black joggers and a plain black sweatshirt with no visible logos
- Sensible sports trainers
- During P.E. lessons, long hair must be tied back and stud earrings removed.
Optional Extras:
- Summer: Royal blue gingham dress or grey school shorts
- Logoed: Royal blue fleece which can be worn over cotton jumpers/cardigans for extra warmth
- It is always advised that your child arrives to school wearing sun lotion when needed
- Scarves, hats and gloves may be worn during break and lunch times when it is cold
Additional Information:
- Hair must be natural colours only
- Hair accessories must be the school colours: grey/blue/white/gold
- Small stud earrings only. No hoops or dangling earrings
- Jumpers/sweatshirts/fleeces without the Oak Tree logo are not permitted except as black winter PE sweatshirt/ tracksuit
- No make-up, nail varnish, false eyelashes, false nails
Where appropriate, non-permitted accessories will be removed, kept safe by the teacher and given back to the pupil at the end of the day.
SEND:
Oak Tree Primary acknowledges that some children may have specific diagnosed sensory needs. In such cases, adjustments to uniform and/or P.E. kit requirements can be made through discussions between home, school, and specialists. Any changes must be approved by the SEND department.
