MindUP Curriculum

Building on the excellent results of the Thrive Approach at Oak Tree, we wanted to teach our children the benefits of understanding their emotional development; giving them a unique insight into certain behaviours through the exploration of their brain.  Our ‘optimistic classrooms’ help prepare our children to successfully cope with the stresses they may face in school, home and in their local communities.

The MindUP curriculum evolved from the Hawn Foundation which was started by the actress Goldie Hawn in 2003. MindUP is also based on neuroscience and evidence based theory so it allows us to deliver a series of comprehensive lessons which supports our school vision.
